Happy New Years
Tom and I spent the last few days of 2006 clipping bolts in Oman. First stop was La Gorgette, below the ever charming village of Bilad Sayt, where we hooked up with Toby and UK friends Catherine, John and assorted children. Then we ventured a bit further south for our first ever stop in the incredibly scenic village of Hadash sitting high above the Ghubrah Bowl at the head of Wadi Mistal. Easily the most breathtaking area I've seen in Oman so far. Not so many routes at Hadash as yet, but there are a number of virginal one pitch crags in the area and endless big wall possibility on the surrounding peaks.
